Minnesota’s agricultural exports bring in $9.2 billion a year, and agricultural exports account for more than a third of the state’s total exports.
Our top export commodities include soybeans, corn, feed, and pork. We’re also home to many leading processed food companies, whose products range from snack foods to frozen entries to bakery products.
Minnesota’s primary export markets are China, Mexico, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. However, emerging markets like Colombia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and India are beginning to gain importance for food and agricultural exporters.
The MDA helps companies and individuals export raw and processed ag products out of Minnesota. We provided needed certificates and paperwork, and help companies expand their reach through business and trade development.
