Pesticides listed below have certain Minnesota specific restrictions. These restrictions are in addition to any restrictions listed on the federal label (Section 3). Applicators must comply with both the Minnesota specific and the federal label restrictions for each product.

The label is the law. All instructions listed on the label/labels accompanying the product must be followed.

Isoxaflutole

Minnesota has restrictions for using certain weed control products containing the active ingredient isoxaflutole in corn. The restrictions are intended to protect surface and ground water and prohibit isoxaflutole use in Dakota, Dodge, Fillmore, Goodhue, Houston Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Wabasha, and Winona counties and north of Interstate 94. The restrictions are located on the Minnesota Product Bulletin that accompanies each product container. Applicators must comply with both the Minnesota Product Bulletin and the federal label for each product and have the product bulletin in their possession at the time of application.

Dicamba

Minnesota has state specific restrictions for using certain weed control products containing the active ingredient dicamba on dicamba-tolerant soybeans. The restrictions are intended to reduce drift, minimize volatilization, and protect the environment. Both temperature and date restrictions exist for the state. For cutoff date, do not apply south of interstate 94 after June 12 or north of interstate 94 after June 30. For cutoff temperature for the entire state, do not apply if the air temperature of the field at the time of application is over 85 degrees Fahrenheit or National Weather Service’s forecasted high temperature for the nearest available location for the day exceeds 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Forecasted temperature must be recorded at the start of the application. Applicators must comply with both the Minnesota state specific restrictions and the federal label restrictions for each product.
